We want you to buy with confidence from GizmoDaddy. We want our customers to be 100% satisfied with their purchase. For this reason, we offer a no questions asked, money-back guarantee to our customers. All products may be returned within 7 days of receipt for a refund. The following restrictions do apply to our satisfaction guarantee:
- No shipping and handling charges will be refunded. For items that qualified for a 'Free Shipping' promotion, GizmoDaddy will deduct from your refund the cost of our shipping the package to you.
- GizmoDaddy must issue a RMA number prior to shipping the returned product to us.
- The product must be received by GizmoDaddy within 7 days of the RMA being issued if shipped from within the USA. We must receive the return within 20 days of the RMA being issued if shipped from outside of the USA. If the returned product is not received within this time allotment, our standard 25% re-stocking fee will be applied.
- The products and accessories must be in like-new condition. There should be no scratches, scuffs, dents, or other visible signs of use. All items included by the manufacturer must be returned (ie, remote control, cables, power supply, etc.). All original manufacturer's packaging must be returned. This includes all protective covers, accessories, styrofoam packaging, etc. Failure to return all items and packaging will result in a 25% restocking fee.
- Do not write on the original box. Any handwritten marks on the original box will result in 25% restocking fee.
- The item must be returned in harmony with the instructions found in the "When Returning An Item" section below.
- Products with clearance pricing are not covered by the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. All sales are final on these items. This will be clearly specified in the product listing.
Return Policy
Wrong Product Received
If we made a mistake and shipped to you a wrong item, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order. We will provide you with instructions on how and where to return the product. We will ship you the correct product and we will pay all shipping costs.
If, however, you realize that you ordered the wrong item, our standard return policy as noted below will apply.
Damage In Shipping
If there is visible damage to the shipping carton and you suspect that the contents have been damaged in transit, please do either of the following. 1) You may refuse to accept it from the carrier and it will be returned to us. Once the refused shipment is receive by us, we will quickly reship an undamaged product to you. 2) Or you may inspect the contents of the carton in the presence of the carrier. If you decide to accept the shipment, please obtain a written statement from the carrier that the package is or appears to have been damaged. If you do accept a damaged shipment, please inform us immediately. If you accept a damaged carton and did not purchase shipping insurance, GizmoDaddy accepts no responsibility for the damages occurred. You must negotiate with the carrier for compensation.
Defective Products - Within 48 Hours of Receiving Your Order
If within 48 hours of receiving your order, you feel that your purchase is defective, please contact us immediately. Please do not ship the product back to us without contacting us to receive return instructions and a RMA number. Returns without an approved RMA will be rejected.
We will quickly diagnose the problem. Should we determine that the product is truly defective, we will reimburse you for all shipping costs. We will provide a replacement at no cost to you.
Defective Products - Within The First 30 Days
We gladly accept exchanges on defective products within 30 days of the original invoice date. We will help you to first diagnose the problem. We will also assist you in contacting the manufacturer in order to receive their defective confirmation code (RMA#). Please forward to use their reply and the manufacturer's RMA number. We will then provide you with instructions on returning the defective product to us. Returns without an approved RMA will be rejected. The buyer must pay shipping to return the product. GizmoDaddy will at our own discretion either repair or replace the defective product. We will ship your product back to you at our expense.
If you choose to return the defective item within thirty (30) days of the original invoice date and desire a refund, we will charge a 25% restocking fee. Your original shipping and handling charges will not be refunded. The return of the product is at your expense.
Defective Products - After 30 Days of the Invoice Date
If after 30 days from the invoice date your product proves to be defective, please contact us for the manufacturer's warranty information. We will assist in getting the manufacturer to repair your product under the terms of their warranty policy.
When Returning An Item
Unless clearly specified by an employee of GizmoDaddy, all items included by the manufacturer must be returned (ie, remote control, cables, power supply, etc.). All original manufacturer's packaging must be returned. This includes all protective covers, accessories, styrofoam packaging, etc. Failure to return all items and packaging will result in a 25% restocking fee. You must ship the returned item in a shipping box to protect the original packaging from being damaged in transit. We will reject all returns if they are not properly boxed. It is absolutely unacceptable to attach a shipping label directly to the original box of the product. Such shipments will be refused and will be returned to the buyer.
If you are desiring a refund, the product and its packaging should be in "like new" condition. If the returned item is scratched, soiled, or damaged by misuse, you will receive a 25% restocking fee.
Other Restrictions Regarding Product Returns
We do not accept returns for products that have been modified, altered, misused, or repaired.
GizmoDaddy is not responsible for direct or indirect damage caused by incorrect manufacturer manuals, instructions, or procedures. Any disputes resulting from the above should be taken directly to the manufacturer.
Regarding hard drives, due to the nature of the product customers cannot return a hard drive to GizmoDaddy unless the drive is found to be defective within 48 hours of delivery. If within 48 hours of delivery and the product is defective, it will be replaced at no cost to the customer after it is received by GizmoDaddy. Otherwise, the customer will have to deal directly with manufacturer of the hard drive to have it repaired/replaced.
Refunds
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. However, in most cases you will receive a refund much more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
We will issue the refund via PayPal. GizmoDaddy will not be responsible for PayPal's transaction fees.
